Easter holiday - Week 1

This week during the easter holidays i spent the majority of my time adding to my research page. I spent the whole of this week solely on research due to the fact i had completed barely any research in the research tab on my workflow. I started by getting a list together off all the pieces of work that i feel are relevant to my school work. This included artists and certain texts. I also wanted to explore more broad topics such as emerging unrefined subcultures or ideologies. I started by placing all the blocks in my workflow together so i can properly visualise the amount of work that i need to do. I like to do think so i can estimate how much work i need to do and how long it will take. Because it's my part 3 i wanted to do a significant amount more of research than i have done for my part 1 and part 2. Regardless i have set myself up to explore every tiny avenue i have referenced in my sketchbook or in the final outcome.

Other than that i am having serious doubts about the final outcome and the likelihood of it being completed. Talking to my crew about the film and days we can shoot just comes to show me how little I've done and how much i need to do and how little the crews time i have. It's become extremely unsuccessful and i feel like i either have to pivot now or continue with the film. If i were to continue with the film i would have to film as much as possible to at least get something to turn in. Most of the footage i have shot looks good but not good enough for the final outcome to look as good as i want to. Part of me also wants to top the aesthetics and visual style that was present in my work 'reality and very existence'. Working with a crew in some ways halted me to do that, restricting me to take some of those creative avenues that i wanted to take with this film. I am heavily leaning towards a pivot in my work but i am unclear on how i would. I want to spend the next week brainstorming and possibly screenwriting. Often when coming up with story's i spend a lot of time in my head thinking about the story and fleshing it out not on paper. I want to allow myself time for me to come up with something that is not only intriguing and exciting but can also be apart of the work that i have already made.
